Up for auction is a 2007 David Akers Philadelphia Eagles Gold Throwback Game Used Helmet. This helmet was worn on September 17, 2007 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. The Philadelphia Eagles would host the Detroit Lions. The Eagles would win the game 56-21. This tied the Eagles point total for most points in a regular season game. David Akers would go on to kick a career high 8 extra points in this game. This helmet shows light but noticeable usage. Akers always has the middle bar cut off of his facemask, and I was able to photomatch this helmet to the cut marks where the bar was cut off. This helmet was made by Riddell. This helmet will not come with the chinstrap. This helmet is registered in MeiGray's system under the number 131883. Unfortunately, the LOA has been lost over time but MeiGray can confirm this number in their system. David Akers is the Eagles all time leader in points, and his game worn items rarely pop up for sale.
