2001 Jerry Rice Game Used Touchdown Football
Up for auction is a 2001 Jerry Rice Game Used Touchdown Football. This ball was used on November 18, 2001 when the Raiders played the Chargers in Oakland. Jerry Rice caught this football for his 191st Career NFL Touchdown. The Touchdown was his first of three in the game and it happened with 1:50 left in the first quarter. Rich Gannon threw Rice the pass for the 10 yard TD. The Raiders would go on to win the game 34-24. This ball shows solid usage with all the proper ref markings on the laces. On the laces it also says "#80 TD SD" which is very faded. This ball was stamped with all of the relevant information about the touchdown in the same format the Raiders typically stamped all milestone/TD balls back in the early 2000's. This ball does NOT hold air. The ball will come with an LOA from Heritage Auctions which was the auction house responsible for auctioning part of Jerry Rice's personal collection several years back. This ball could serve as a true centerpiece for any Rice or Raiders fan! Thanks for looking!
